Outstanding service! Greg and Roberto came out yesterday to replace a piece of cast iron pipe which was leaking from the 2nd floor into the ceiling below. They were fast, polite, professional, and friendly. Even though it was after 3pm when they arrived-- they cared about how urgent this was to me so they went ahead and fixed it the same day. Yes it was after our original appointment window-- but these guys are slammed busy helping folks, and it was well worth a bit of patience and wait time to know the job was done right. Once they arrived it took them only 1 hour to access the problem, go to the supply store, come back and complete the repair! This focus and fast efficiency means reasonable pricing, which I greatly appreciate. They even cleaned up everything before they left. This is the 2nd time they have fixed an urgent problem for me-- the last required using a camera inside pipes in the ground. These guys have all the latest high tech gear. We've used Hick's for a couple years and wanted to keep using them. Except they will not show up or respond now. We had an appointment for them to come to our house and they never showed up- didn't call us either. We called back to try to re-schedule and give them one more try but they won't answer their phones or return messages.

The 2 plumbers spent several hours at my house determining what was going on, but did finally find the issue and repaired it. Instead of sending an invoice, Hicks called me within a few days and asked for payment before I had even received an invoice. I complied, but I’m not sure why I was not allowed 30 days for payment, which is standard procedure as far as I’m aware. And then received an invoice several days later. It did not state that it had already been paid.

The plumbers did a good job but I was charged based on the degree of work and not for the actual time the plumbers where at my house. The service charge is $150 no matter what you have down. I asked the plumbers if they could take a look at a few things after they fixed my outside spigot and they did just that. They looked over a few things and made some recommendations to replace the valve on two of my toilets. That was some great work for that 1 hour of service. However, I was charge for 1.5 hours because I was told that in no way the plumbers could have completed that work in 1 hour. This could have also been resolved if we settled the bill that day and not me receiving it a month later in the mail.

I cannot say enough kind things about this business. I had a tub that would not drain no matter what we tried. We called Hick’s and they came out a few days later to take a look at it. They determined it was the design of the tub that made it hard to drain (and some installer error on our builders part), but instead of recommending that we get a new tub they searched high and low for the parts to fix it. They had no luck finding the parts because the tub was such an odd design, but they didn’t give up. They found a way to make it work and they diligently worked get it operating for us. They apologized for how long it too and offered us a discount but I was so impressed by their determination and dedication. I’ve never experienced this level of kindness, courtesy, and integrity in a service provider before. I was so impressed and so very grateful for their hard work.
