When my water heater went out, I called several plumbing companies and selected Radiant because of their reputation and ratings online. They had somebody out to me within two hours. The technician was extremely knowledgeable and easy to talk to. He worked with me to get the tankless water heater that I thought would be the a good replacement, providing alternatives as well, so that I had a thorough understanding of the selections. The work was outstanding and was able finish that day even though a torrential rain occurred while he was completing the job. Probably not the cheapest guys in town, but they know what they’re doing so you can be assured that the job is done correctly.

Excellent service from Erik Stratton who came out and replaced our water heater, garbage disposal, and set up a Flow-Tech water treatment system. Our old water heater was 14 years old, and without any safety features. Erik did a fantastic job getting everything installed, and advised us on how to maintain our new system. Radiant is more expensive than some places, but I’m willing to spend more to get the job done right the first time. I believe Erik did just that!

I'll preface this review by saying I've used Radiant for about 12 years at two different houses and used to think they were worth it. They're more expensive than others, but I used to have good experiences with them. I won't be using them anymore after our most recent experience. The AC on our current home is old, but functional. We're planning to replace it next year, so we're just trying to get through this season. We had a Radiant tech come out because the system stopped working and he diagnosed everything then went into a high pressure sales pitch to replace every component of the stem. After I told him we were not able to replace the system this year he continued to pressure me to schedule a Radiant sales tech to come out. He also told me that at a minimum we had to flush the drain line and replace the AC capacitor just to get the system working. I did a quick Google search about the average cost of replacing an AC capacitor and Radiant was charging 3x the national average. I asked him about the high cost, after which he time me the capacitor didn't actually have to be replaced, he just recommends it. We already had a discussion about the bare minimum it needs to be functional, why are you trying to pressure us us into other expensive replacements? We paid him just to flush the line and the system started working again. That evening after Radiant serviced it the AC system began leaking water and flooded the carpet, flooring, wall, and ceiling of the upstairs where it's located. I immediately called Radiant back and they sent a different service tech out the next morning. The second tech stated that the drain line was not properly cleared by the first tech and still had a lot of debris in it. He flushed the AC drain line properly and that fixed the issue. However he then began trying to blame the leak and flooding on everything besides the first technician mistake. He first blamed our plumbing (the AC doesn't drain into our plumbing and we don't have any plumbing issues), he then blamed the age of the AC system itself, the then blamed the installer (it was installed before we bought the house), he then blamed us for not replacing the system. He went around and around in circles trying to convince me it was caused by anything other than the improperly flushed drain line. He eventually left, then immediately came back to "take photos of his work" but instead started pressuring me to make a statement that I would accept responsibility and payment for any water damage repairs. I repeatedly told him I would not be paying for the water damage because whatever the first tech did caused it, and he kept pressuring me to say out loud that I would be okay paying for it. He was so insistent that I genuinely thought he was sent back in by his supervisor to record me claiming liability. The next two days consisted of phone calls back and forth with Radiant and the AC manager in which they refused to accept liability for the faulty repair of the first tech. We now have a quote of around $5,000 from a restoration company for interior water and mold mitigation, not including the cost of repairs after that. I've contacted our home owners insurance and filed a claim against Radiant for the damages which our insurance company's legal department is now handling. Again, I formerly used and recommended Radiant without hesitation, but I will no longer use them and caution you not to as well. They have shifted to a very high pressure sales pitch model and their repair technicians are not as good or experienced as they used to be. The company will not accept responsibility for their work, and you will have no recourse if they mess something up.

Called Radiant and quickly scheduled same day HVAC appt. Sami communicated that he was on his way. I told him what issues were and he quickly started investigating and letting me some of the reasons could be why system could stop working. He quickly identified that our system was definitely not doing great. I was there observing and unfortunately and we finally needed to replace our entire system. He was surprised that it was the original system when the house was built. Over 20 years ago. He gave me his recommendation and help set up to have a technician come out to inspect and give us a AC options even coordinating to have 2 stand alone units to get us through until system is replaced. Sami was informative throughout the whole process and his advise. Thanks for the speedy process.
