I called Petersen's today hoping to get my kitchen sink unclogged within the next day or two. They came today, about four hours after my call. Not only was the sink quickly unclogged, but when I mentioned the extremely low water pressure in the sink (which five years ago another plumber who was hired by my contractor had worked on and declared could not be fixed due to how the pipes had to be placed), they checked a couple things and had it fixed in about five minutes!! Real water pressure, what a treat! Before leaving they explained why they thought my drain was clogged and advised me on how to prevent it in the future. This is why when needed (with that one exception resulting in five years of a faulty "unfixable" sink, we have called Petersen's for 30 years with the same good results.
I really don't like giving out bad reviews, but I'll make an exception for this one. Petersen Plumbing originally came out to unhook our old sink, then came back out to hook up the new one. Part of that process was disconnecting and reconnecting the dishwasher. Everything seemed to go fine until the following day when we came home to a squishy floor. After an emergency call to Petersen, they sent out a team the following morning to investigate and found a leak from where the supply line connects to the dishwasher. But instead of fixing it, they said it was a faulty L joint and they wouldn't work on it so we'd need to call an appliance repair person. They, however, would not take responsibility for said leak because it "wasn't a part they worked on directly". So we had to call our home insurance company and had a water mitigation team come rip up half our kitchen and dry everything out with fans for two weeks. In the meantime, we did have an applicance repair person come out to fix "the faulty L joint", but he said it likely wasn't a problem with the joint -- it was using an old, copper supply line which are prone to leaks and was likely leaking due to someone yanking on the line during the connection process. He wouldn't touch it and recommended that we have a plumber come install a braided steel line and hook up the dishwasher. So we did. I literally just got done having Precision Plumbing install a braided steel supply line and reconnect our dishwasher -- no qualms, no issues. They even installed a new L joint just to be thorough. No hassles. So at least our dishwasher is working again, though we still have a ripped up kitchen and thousands of dollars in damages to deal with. TL;DR - not only would I not recommend Petersen Plumbing, I will actively tell everyone I meet not to use them. UPDATE (in response) - You disconnected the drain to the dishwasher and capped the supply line, but you didn't fix the leak that you caused -- you told me you wouldn't and couldn't. But the most important point here is that you didn't even take responsibility for it. I understand people miss stuff and make mistakes, but you had a chance to make it right and chose not to. I paid you almost $500 for the original job because you're supposed to be plumbing experts, licensed, and insured. Why TF should anyone pay you that kind of money if you're going make a mistake and just say "well, it's not our fault, but that's what home insurance is for"? And that's pretty much exactly what your guys told me.
We had Petersen Plumbing out to investigate and repair multiple plumbing problems. The service was outstanding. Very happy with their approach, everything now works as it should, and friendly people to work with. Highly recommended!
Thank you Tyler & Jacob for the Great Plumbing repair. Peterson plumbing company has always been our go to for plumbing issues. With a Great Warranty🇺🇸
Petersen Plumbing has by far the best customer service that I have encountered in a long time. I had an appointment today between 8am-10am, I had someone call me to tell me the plumber was on his way to us, which was a pleasant surprise. Our plumber was very nice, respectful and even cleaned up after himself. Fixed our issues in no time at all. Thank you Petersen Plumbing!
