Came out same day as I called. Frank was informative and efficient. Pricing was based on a "package deal". For what was done it was a little pricey but everything cost more these days. Highly recommend. Before and after photos below.

Darrel and Brad were helpful, professional and personable. They worked quickly and made sure to get us taken care of early in the morning since it was 90 and we had no AC. Brad really went above and beyond helping me with my other appliances and explaining helpful maintenance tips. They got everything done quickly, while sweating their butts off in 90 degree weather. It’s a little nerve wracking trusting companies to tell the truth but they went above and beyond to explain and show me where my appliances were failing. They were there for the AC and showed me where my furnace was breaking down. We wouldn’t have known about the cracked heat exchanger unless we had an inspection or had the CO2 detectors go off. So that meant a lot that Brad took the time to mention that and give me a heads up. Of course they did suggest we do it today but we decided to do it this fall. Overall 10/10! You can trust this company, especially Brad and Darrell.

We just moved into our home this past week, and last night our AC unit stopped working during one of the hottest weeks in the summer. Called on a Saturday morning to request service and Darrel showed up at noon. Without a doubt, Darrel is one of the most knowledgeable, helpful and overall pleasant technicians I have ever dealt with. An hour later, the system was back up and running and Darrel even took the time to explain to us how our system operated. Safe to say, we’ve found our go-to tech for all things plumbing/HVAC.

Had Penning come out to look at our AC unit. Tech came out never offering any kind of information as to what the problem was. Only trying to sell some goofy packages. With us thinking that the silver package would fix the problem. The tech cleaned and put unit back together. I contacted them to get an invoice of what work they had done, the invoice stated (Main Voltage Enhancement System Renovation) was what was completed. This was a 754-dollar part or whatever was done to fix the problem. Only to have the AC unit drop the house temp 2 degrees in 8 hours. I did contact Penning they did offer to send the tech back out. But at this point we had already paid, for something, that we were made to believed fixed the problem. On 7/9/25 we had a different company come out do a full exam of our unit. They gave us a quote on what needed to be fixed and what the problems was. Did not try and sell me a package and not even fix the issue. When showing the other HVAC tech, the invoice from Penning. He stated never seen anything like that and he did not see anything on the unit that was replaced or fixed. Overall waste of money and I would not recommend this company for any kind of service. Unless you just have extra cash to burn.

The positive, they showed up on time and completed the work in a reasonable timeframe. That said, they fully took advantage of my situation and overcharged me for the service. I wasn’t in the position to shop around and they knew it.. I also had them price additional work for me, they quoted me $4000 to do the same service another plumber did a couple of years ago for $250. I get inflation, but that’s just absurd. My first and last time hiring Penning, there are many other reasonable plumbers in the area to chose from that do exceptional work and don’t take advantage of customers……
