I purchased two toilets from Home Depot and paid for installation services. Best Care Plumbing called me on Friday to schedule an appointment on Monday. I was originally told that my appointment would be some time in the afternoon so I left work early. I made three phone calls throughout the day to confirm my appointment and was told I was still on the schedule. Around 4:00, I received another phone call saying I needed to be rescheduled the following day. I had two damaged toilets so I was in an emergency situation. I explained that the company and they said they could have someone install one toilet Monday and then the second one Tuesday. I measured the distance from my wall and assumed I needed a 12 rough toilet. When the rech came, he stayed that I nerfed 10 rough toilets and that a 12 couldn't be installed. I returned both toilets to Home Depot and purchased the 10 in rough ones. Since my appointment had been rescheduled, I ended up having to use another vacation day to be home for the installation. I contacted Best Care this morning and was told a tech was on the way around 8:00. The representative then corrected her statement and said that it would actually be between 1:00 and 5:00. I was overly anxious since both of my toilet tanks had cracked. I made three calls to Best Care because I was receiving no type of communication but was told I was still on schedule. Finally, around 5:30 someone showed up to install the toilets. I inquired again about the rough on measurements before installation started and the tech said that since the rough in measurement was approximately 11 inches from the wall, the 10 rough toilet was the correct selection. After installation was complete, I noticed there's a 3 inch gap between the toilet and the wall in both bathrooms which looks very strange. I am a bit concerned that I don't have the correct size. I gave used two days off work trying to utilize this company and I'm still not sure I made the best decision. Their timing and communication alone have me very reluctant to use their services again.
I purchased a new split unit for my mobile home not quite 3 years ago.they did a terrible job on the inside unit and never came back to finish my wall.I contacted them about 3 weeks ago and set up an appointment because my unit seem to not be cooling like it should.the morning of my appointment,I was contacted by the technician saying they had a influx of calls that morning and would have to reschedule me.so I had scheduled my appointment several days before and they decided to put everyone that had called that morning ahead of me.i found another ac company that could come out that same day.as it turns out,I have a Freon leak.i also found out that the unit best care installed is a 2 ton unit inside and out.I specifically told them that I wanted a 3 ton unit.i was told by another AC company that a 2 ton unit that I payed $6,500 for is to small for my mobile home, the return they installed is also to small.it should be a 20x20 or bigger.they installed a 12x26.I’ve had Freon put in this unit twice in the last 2 weeks.i will contact best care on Monday since my unit has a 10 year warranty.i would not recommend best care home services to anyone.if my unit is repaired, its still to small for my home.now im faced with spending several thousand dollars for a new 3 ton unit.
Best Care states that they operate with honesty and integrity, and they are customer centric. I have not found this to be true. I have contacted them multiple times, phone and email. They will not get back in touch with me. I have used them in the past and it has been positive. This latest event, they have not provided the “best care” they advertise. I requested a specific placement (an up charge) and did not receive it, but was charged for it. I have tried to talk to someone and get the run around from customer service. Their own employee told me if he had experienced what I had he would not do business with the company.
John and Gabriel did great installing My HVAC system this past Saturday 07/19/2025. They both worked hard and were very creative while dealing with the elements. I'm pleased with the well-done job👍🏽 performed by both Technicians.
Following up on my wife's review of Best Care, things improved for a minute, now we are back in Chief's doghouse. As stated in the previous review, installation in early NOV 2024 followed by a 70 day wait to get a response on concerns from the installation scheduler, Lauren, and manager, Jonathan. Only one of two thermostats working, not all component purchased were installed, gas line cut a doorway off to our attic storage, etc. etc. About four months in, it took a Google review and some negative mentions on social media to get a call - not from the installation folks but from their social media manager. Still, we got some response. I insisted on a meeting with Mr. Reed, the owner, when he next visited Huntsville, nominally a call from him. I was not inclined to meet with Mr. Ivey again because, despite all of the platitudes and white boarding with promised action, he apparently immediately forgot it all when I walked out the door. I also mentioned that we still had seen nothing of the Trane Rebates that were promised and the paperwork to claim the TVA rebate we were advised was available when we purchased. Late February Update to this continued saga. What was promised: Action on the rebates, contact with Mr. Reed, Gas Line moved, Trane Factory Rep on site to assist technicians, and as the previous response here states, that we would be taken care of. What actually happened is that they came out that next week, moved the gas line to our satisfaction and continued to try and get the second thermostat to work but couldn't. The information I was provided by the technician who was on the phone with Trane (no on site Trane Factory "expert") was that the sales person sold us a system configuration that was not possible. I was also told that Mr. Reed was in Huntsville that day so was looking forward to discussing how we were going to make this all right. Mr. Reed apparently did not think I was worth his time. SO - what I have is two thermostats on a one thermostat system and four sensors that are unnecessary but I do have the comforting statement that "Trane should have a fix in about six months." I also have zero contact from Mr. Reed as requested. Update as of 19 April: - Still no call or contact from Mr. Reed - no contact back from Lauren regarding the rebates - no offer to refund or buy back components this system cannot use - currently inoperable HVAC (see picture with codes) - phone call in, left message - instituting the "Chiefs Service Guarantee" as of 8 p.m. on 19 April, 2025 - will report back with a follow on here at 8:01 p.m. tomorrow. - effectively an incomplete installation still - but I am guessing Best Care actually has moved on to other projects. (Sidebar here: Do not use their offered Good Leap financing - there is no mechanism there to withhold payment in cases like this. They get paid and "Chiefs Trustworthy Guarantee" is, at least in our case, worth nothing). - a solid recommendation to anyone who happens to read this to avoid doing business with this company at all costs. More will follow, stay tuned. 07 May 2025 - The Saga Continues! 20 April - No call 21 April - No call so I called them; they made an appointment to send a tech out next day. Mr. Ivey calls and cancels tech appointment because, well, it's all TRANES fault. Their system is faulty. We'll find you a new one and replace it ASAP and we'll rework the price. So goes the narrative. 22 April - Mr. Ivey calls - just keeping in touch - wants me to know they are trying. 07 May - Multiple Calls in to Jonathan Ivey with no return calls since late April. Customer Service at it's finest. It's officially SIX MONTHS since this system was installed and it still doesn't work and there is no resolution in sight with these folks. At this point, we'll be seeking other ways to potentially remedy the situation. Again, cannot reiterate it enough - especially to my brothers and sisters in uniform now or retired from it like me - stay away from this company, they don't share your values.
