ARS has is super easy to work with . Second time I've had to Get a plumber for my father estate and they show up quick & knock the job out with no issues . Had 3 toilets replaced in the house today and he had it done within 4 hours. I wish all service providers were this easy to work with . He also went through the whole rest of the house and Underneath to make sure there were no leaks anywhere Creating future issues. Thank you so much!
Bishnu did a great job but the company itself was really poor on scheduling their repairs or issues like mine was not getting cold and it is just 2 months old. I called and texted the rep person Larry H. about the problem in my ac but he never called or texted back. I called the costumer service and scheduled an appointment. Costumer service gave me the appointment time range in which the scheduled for next day, 6 hours window. The next day, nobody called or texted me, so I called just to confirm and be ready for the appointment, called many times because it is ruining my personal schedule. Finally at 15 minutes after the appointment, I have to reschedule. The next day, Bishnu, ac repair fix the problem. By the way this company was recommended by Lowe's. I thought that it was part of Lowes but it is not. Buyers beware on Lowes too. I usually do not do a bad review but I felt like Lowes deceived me on this. No Mylowes points too. Note on pictures the control pad was ARS, the thermometer pointing on the floor was my 18 years old unit and the thermometer pointing on the ceiling was ARS.
🚫 DO NOT CALL ARS / RESCUE ROOTER — SCAMMERS IN UNIFORM It’s been 105° outside for over a week, and while my A/C usually runs well, the upstairs was struggling to keep up with the extreme heat. I saw an ad for an $89 A/C tune-up from ARS/Rescue Rooter and thought, “Why not?” They came the same day—great, right? Turns out, it’s no surprise they had availability. These guys are straight-up scam artists. The tech steps out of his truck and immediately says, “I’ll have to charge you double because you have a two-story home.” No inspection, no equipment out, no work done—just an upcharge right off the bat. When I pushed back, he said, “I can do it for two $69 fees,” which made no sense and was already a red flag. Still, I reluctantly agreed to let him continue. He walks to the outside unit, hooks up a gauge, and in less than 4 minutes tells me, “You’re low on gas. Gonna need 8–10 pounds of R-410A and a leak test.” For reference, my unit only holds 7 lbs at full capacity. So why 8–10? Then came the real scam: He quoted me $350 per pound of refrigerant. That’s $2,800 for 8 lbs of gas that, according to industry standards (and ChatGPT), typically costs $40–$75 per pound. Even installed with labor, that should only be $320–$720 total. When I refused the offer, he tried to barter. “I can do it for $275 a pound.” Then he offered a cash deal. Seriously? Is this a licensed HVAC company or a back-alley mechanic? When I declined again, he got visibly irritated and said I owed $129 for a diagnostic fee. Mind you, the diagnostic and inspection were supposed to be part of the tune-up I called for. He was at my house for a grand total of 9 minutes. When I called his company in front of him to ask about pricing, he just got in his truck and drove away. ⸻ Bottom line: ARS / Rescue Rooter is a dishonest and predatory company. They lure you in with low-price ads, then use bait-and-switch tactics and high-pressure sales to upcharge you for services you don’t need—at criminally inflated prices. They prey on vulnerable homeowners during peak heat and hope you’ll panic. I didn’t fall for it, but I’m warning you so you don’t either. Avoid this company at all costs. Call a local, reputable HVAC pro instead—someone who actually values integrity.
--- ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Derek from ARS Rescue Rooter came out to perform a system tune-up and check-up on our AC, and he did an outstanding job. Communication was smooth from the start—he arrived right on time and worked efficiently without ever making me feel rushed. What really impressed me was how thorough and thoughtful he was. He took the time to answer all our questions, offered insightful suggestions tailored to our specific setup. Fast, friendly, and professional service from start to finish. Derek’s expertise and customer-first attitude made this a five-star experience. Highly recommend!
Run as fast as you can from ARS. I had one drain issue in the bathroom. By the time the tech left, you see here the damage he left behind. I have tried multiple times to have them address the damage done 2 years ago. Twice visited the office and left copies of these pictures. Zero response. The tech ARS sent said “his truck had all the tools he needed but he didn’t know how to use most of them”. That should have been my warning. Here is hoping ARS pays attention this time.
