Saturday morning I opened up my wall to investigate what I suspected to be a leak behind my kitchen sink. After investigating, I realized some of the old copper supply pipe was leaking and it needed to be replaced, that’s when I decided to call in a professional. I called 3 plumbing companies (Saturday at ~13:00) before anyone picked up: Jessica with Rudd. Jessica explained there were no technicians available that day, but she scheduled me for Tuesday and put me on ‘standby’ in case anyone came available. An hour later I got a call letting me know Jeremy was on his way! Jeremy arrived, evaluated the job, and provided a quote from his ipad. The way they quote is like choosing from a menu of items, all with predetermined pricing. While I had him here (and while I had the wall open), I also asked Jeremy to relocate the sink plumbing return and to install a garbage disposal. After agreeing on the price ahead of the job, Jeremy went to work and finished in ~2 hours what would have taken me at least a day and many trips to the hardware store - he’s a machine! Jeremy is a skilled tradesman who is very courteous, professional, and did I mention fast? He was meticulous in checking for leaks after he finished, and vacuumed up any mess that was made (including some of mine!). 4 hours after I reached out to ask for help, I had all new plumbing below my sink and a new garbage disposal. I called this company for a quote on a simple toilet and dual vanity plumbing hookup for my client's upstairs bathroom. The toilet and vanities were already onsite and in place. They were able to get a friendly tech out same day and let me know there was a $47 dollar quote fee that would be applied to the service if we moved forward. We already had one other quote from a licensed plumber for $850. Our jaws nearly hit the floor when the tech quoted us $4,250 for the same exact job. My fiance is a VP of Construction for a high-end luxury builder in town who does job costing himself and confirmed that quote was absolutely exorbitant and that an average cost should be in the $600-$800 range. I understand you need to pay someone for their time but that quote was so far out of the ballpark it actually feels like one of the ways this company makes their money is just in collecting $47 for each outlandish quote they perform which took all of 10 minutes. I've reached out to the company multiple times to express my concern and request the money back and of course have not heard back on this request other than to have them tell me, "Our prices are set as an industry standard." AVOID THIS COMPANY - GO ELSEWHERE.

Had my first plumbing inspection with Eric D'Argo. The technician is excellent and knows his stuff. Explains everything and writes down extra notes for me in what to get for a simple repair. Answers all questions honestly and very thorough. Couldn't ask for a better technician.

After a few shaky weeks with Rudd, I asked for a senior technician and they sent Josh hood. Not only was he professional and thorough, but he was honest in a way that restored my faith in Rudd. Great guy overall.

Pricing has increased substantially from a year ago. In February 2024, I had Rudd come out to replace a shower head/arm and bathtub drain assembly, and I paid less than $175 for 1 hour of work. The service was great, and they finished in less than 30 minutes. In the remaining 30 minutes, I had the plumber help me with other misc. things around the house. I was super impressed with the prior service, so I had them come out today to give me a quote for additional, similar work (replacing a 2 shower heads, valve trim, 3 drain assemblies), which they estimated to 2.5 - 3 hours of work. The quote they gave me for labor alone was over $2,100, which is $700 an hour. I understand prices increase over time, but that's a 400% price increase in one year. They're super friendly people, but unfortunately I can't justify paying $700 an hour for routine plumbing services.
