Maloney Plumbing & Drain Services in Phoenix, AZ

Unfortunately, we had a plumbing issue and the plumber we’ve used for years had retired. So, we did some research and decided to try Maloney Plumbing. The issue we had was we could hear running water under our kitchen sink. But nothing was turned on and there were no visible signs of a leak. It was easy to schedule an appointment and get a technician to our home quickly. The technician quickly said he was not able to determine the cause of our problem and suggested Maloney schedule a leak detection company they work with to come out and investigate. The company came out shortly thereafter. They quickly found the source of the problem and explained it would be a relatively simple fix for the Maloney technician to complete. Unfortunately, they charge and are paid separately from Maloney Plumbing. We expected the Maloney technician to come back later that day, but there was some miscommunication at their end and he ended up coming back the next day. However, for some reason he was not able to do the work. He said he had appointments the rest of the day and he’d have to come back the following week. Well, that was not acceptable as we needed the issue resolved that day. As a new customer, this was not a good way to start. We called Maloney right after he left and, very apologetically, they said they’d send Lupe out right away. Lupe and Anthony arrived within the hour. After talking with Lupe, I think we would have saved time and possibly not needed the additional leak detection effort (and extra cost). Too bad Maloney didn’t send Lupe and Anthony out the first time. Lupe was very engaging and knowledgeable. His primary concern was our satisfaction. I felt very comfortable with him and was confident he would take care of our plumbing issue. Lupe and Anthony went right to work and quickly completed the task at hand. We were very happy with the result. To coin a phrase, Lupe “turned our frown upside down”. It looks like we have our new plumbing company. Next time we need service we will call Maloney and specifically request Lupe and Anthony.

Once at our property to get an idea of what we needed done which would have been a large and involved project, Bertin suggested trying an alternative protocol to see if that would solve the issue. I’m so thankful he had ideas of other less involved ways to fix the issue at this time. He wanted to be sure we had exhausted all options. Thank you so much! I feel like this company is not out to just make money on unnecessary projects. That needs to be acknowledged! Very appreciative!

Major price shock. This is the first and last time I will reach out to this or any commercially based plumbing company. Not because of the service provided, but the high cost of repair. They are professional, licensed, and punctual. I had a technician called out this morning for a hose bib replacement, and a two foot section of PVC pipe replacement due to leaking issue. All pipes are above ground and exposed. I asked the scheduler for a ball park figure on a hose bib replacement. Their response is "I don't have prices that I can provide over the phone". I am understanding that each job is unique, so a ball park cost for the easiest scenario, with the understanding that the price could increase due to complexity would have helped me make an educated decision. Also, would have prevented me from having to write a review. I believe transparency would have gained my trust. I decided to move forward with having someone come out assuming that a hose bib and a small section of PVC may cost around $100. A price I would be willing to do for convenience. I was astounded when I had a $750 quote. $240 for a hose bib and over $500 for the PVC section to be replaced. I found this to be unacceptable. These parts are inexpensive in raw form. I understand time is the largest cost. I was calling for convenience as I have a busy schedule. I have decided to do the repair myself. To anyone who takes the time to read this or is unable to perform your own fixes, do your research. This may be a very credible company, but their operating costs are high, and your cost to use them is reflected in that. I am sure that the competitors will be as well. I revised this review shortly after receiving a call from the owner. She is extremely reasonable and compassionate about her business. I respect that very much. Due to her call and honesty, I increased the star rating to 3 from my initial 1, and I have calmed from the initial shock and frustration with high costs. I am not trying to harm this company. I am trying to make it aware that the cost for doing business is too high for me to bear.

I've had several plumbers try to repair my shower temperature valve. Every plumber that came couldn't fix it right because they were not familiar with a higher end European fixture. Tom was able to determine the issue right away. He's very knowledgeable and professional. I would recommend him to anyone!

WOW...I have used some pretty Big Names in the plumbing industry from around the Valley and I have just found me a new Plumber...Lupe from Maloney was great! Had an in the wall leak and Lupe Hernandez was very considerate on how to approach it with minimal damage to the house. Which of course meant less repair from opening dry wall to get the pipes. Lupe explained what our steps were, gave me a quote and was courteous and very professional. Very reasonably priced consider to other project I have had done and what that charge was. Highly recommend them!
