From start to finish, my experience with Eastergard was first class and professional. From first consultation to install, they explained the scope of work, answered my questions, moved at my pace and made me feel like I was in the driver's seat during the entire period of installation. Alex O. was my primary contact and met me every step of the way with great customer service and 'know-how'. I will be recommending Eastergard to anyone who is looking for a great experience and value for HVAC repair/installation + duct work.
Recently Charles Binns has provided maintenance to the AC units at my residence and the Military History Museum here in Greenville. The service he performed was first class. Very knowledgeable of the systems and provided excellent information on the operation of the units. Most importantly Charles represented Eastergard in a totally professional manner.
Josh has been a tremendous blessing to me since the very first time he came to my house. I know that I can trust him completely. He may not instantly know what my problem is when I have one, but he does not give up until he figures it out and fixes it for me. So few in the world that we are living in care, especially when there is not an obvious answer--- but there is definitely a problem. So when I find a person like Josh who will put forth that kind of effort to actually figure out and take care of my problems, I want to make sure he is the one who is also maintaining the equipment so I can avoid any unnecessary issues. It's sometimes hard for people setting up these appointments to understand this even when I have had them note my request for Josh and they change my appointment to a different day (without any problem) so that he can be the one who comes out. I do not want to be a difficult customer. Hopefully they have this straightened out now and this will no longer be a problem. But it was very upsetting to have a different person call me saying that 'he' was on his way to my house after actually changing my appointment so that person could be Josh! After a long frustrating conversation, I am trusting that this won't happen again. I was assured that it will not and am thankful for that. Josh is a great example for others in all companies to follow so they can also be 'that person' that a customer will want to ask for when setting up an appointment. Josh has proved himself to me, which is all anyone needs to do to be appreciated. Your company is appreciated because of his efforts.
We did not have a great experience unfortunately. We had numerous instances in which a technician came out to service our HVAC and thought they had resolved the issue, and then it reoccurred, and had to come back out, and it still wasn’t resolved. We also were informed that they would replace a part for free and then that didn’t happen. Overall it just wasn’t a positive experience
**Edit to add that Eastergard’s response is inaccurate and distorted. I didn’t come up with the word, “trick”, but their technician did. We were asked to take EVERYTHING out of the attic, which no other technician has ever requested before, and our outside technician confirmed that it was the same damper they replaced (regardless, the text evidence shows they would replace it without ANY mention that it had to be a specific one). And AFTER the wiring “trick” situation, they sent another technician out here who agrees with me that he didn’t understand WHAT the last tech did or why he did it, and now Eastergard is sending us a bill for the most recent technician coming to fix the last one’s mistake!! I don’t trust ANY response from this company. I don’t want any work done from them as a Mea Culpa, I only want the general public warned. We used them about two years ago and they came out here to replace two of the three dampers in the attic. We also bought their “extended plan” (big mistake). Fast forward to this month, and our a/c was acting up again. We had another company come out here to take a look and he confirmed that a damper was acting up again and he sent a quote to have it replaced. But then I remembered that Eastergard had replaced 2 of the 3 dampers and they were still covered under a warranty. I contacted Eastergard and they sent the photos of the dampers they replaced. The tech from the other company saw the pictures and immediately confirmed that one of them is the damper that’s malfunctioning. Then, after texting with Eastergard, they agreed to replace the damper free of charge. When the Eastergard tech showed up to do the job, he went up to the attic (the door is in my toddler son’s room, so he missed several naps during all of this), and immediately came down and refused to do anything until we EMPTIED our attic. We thought that was a ridiculous request, but did it anyway and he came back another day. THEN he went up there and said “Oh, you don’t need a new damper. I know a trick that will fix this problem immediately.” He did his “trick” and we put everything back in the attic. Three days later, the a/c is acting up again. I called Eastergard again and now they are refusing to replace the damper AND trying to charge us almost twice what the other company wanted for a new damper. Long story short, they have been rude, dishonest, and very hard to work with. They won’t honor the guarantees that they’ve made and they’re extremely over-priced. Sorry for the tangent! Just wanted a clear picture of the situation.😬
