Good people, astronomical pricing to cover high operating cost. Called to have a septic pump/basin replaced (around ~$3000 in parts) and was initially billed at just under $15,000. After speaking with the owner, we were able to get the price down to just under $12,000. I called several times trying to get a parts cost breakdown but was only ever met with “we don’t make the prices, we just go off a book”. Of that $12,000, I didn’t even get all new parts as they re-used my float switch from my old broken pump to help keep their margins high. When I inquired about that, I was told “that part wasn’t included in the estimate, if we had Included it the cost would have been higher”. My septic pump was bad, a float switch is required for it to work, so I’m not sure how it wasn’t included in the estimate from the get go. The electrical box that alarms the resident when the pump has failed also wasn’t included in the replacement parts cost so they reused my old one as well. So buyer beware that the company does good work but will do everything in their power to keep their margins high. Lastly, after they replaced the entire system their project manager had to come back out a few days later and completely replace the entire system again because the first time they did the install it was inadequate. Not sure what their slogan “any delay and we pay” means as we had about 3 repeat visits but hey, it’s good marketing. I fly for a commercial airline and I also own my own flight instructing business and there’s something to say about having integrity. I just feel like Benjamin franklins culture could be better.

Benjamin Franklin plumbing and my tech was Eric Charon. First of all they were very fast to come out. Eric was awesome he helped me layout the whole hole tank and marked it because I had no clue where it was. Told me exactly what to expect and how it was going to be done. Eric was very friendly and professional in his time with me. Overall I am very pleased with the service and price. I can’t say enough good things about Eric and Benjamin Franklin plumbing other than I know I found a company to help me out with plumbing. Definitely recommend this company!

I cannot express how grateful I am for Ben Franklin Plumbing. My dad’s water heaters pilot would not light and the tech came and told us the vent was condensing water and causing the firebox to be wet. He fixed it within an hour and the charge was extremely awesome considering the timeline they completed the job. From me calling to them closing the service ticket was same day. Almost within the morning alone. Thanks again.

Kevin was professional and down to earth. He explained things in a way I understood and didn’t mind that I had my dad on the phone too. He really listened to our needs and balanced that with what we could afford. He got the job done in one day and it looked great and worked great. He made sure we were all set up! Thankful!

Closed on my home May of last year 24. I was upgrading my appliances and one of the upgrades was for a hot water heater for my man cave, which was a guest house at one time. Not too big just one bedroom one bathroom a kitchen storage room And a utility space. I’m in the man cave approximately one percent of the time I only use it for Battle Budy gatherings, game nights and event nights football boxing baseball sports events and such. I wanted to replace the 40 gallon water heater with a new one because it was outdated. Granted I didn’t even need 40 gallon water heater for that. Sam came by to his Credit Sam was a clean cut, respectful young man. However, when he quoted the work to remove the old water heater and replaced another one somehow, he came up with the figure of $3800. And when I asked why so much because the water heater itself was maybe $500, well he proceeded to tell me of how good the company was the quality workmanship and so on and so forth, you know the whole routine. I finally stopped him and said, I think I’ll go another way. The price is way too high to have one individual that will probably take maybe take two or three hours. At that realization, I contacted the office and canceled my service contract and explained that it is only a vice used to have someone to come out here and try to sell. I was very disappointed. I will say, at no time did I experience rudeness or disrespect. I was treated with courtesy and respect. But I just don’t understand how Sam came up with $3800 to replace a water heater in an open area that would’ve taken maybe 2-3 hrs. I was very, very disappointed at their pricing schedule. Needless to say, After Sam had left my maintenance contractor pull me to one side. He said, "Mr. Mitch we can do that job for $450 not including the cost of the water heater". We shook hands and I am now on his schedule.
