Bassett Services: Heating, Cooling, Plumbing, & Electrical

Chris Welch provided excellent service at my house resolving an outside faucet issue which was caused by freezing temps and leaking back inside the basement. Chris reviewed all the options with me. I appreciated his honesty and recommendations. He replaced the faucet, reconfigured the water line from the main and added a shutoff. He was on time and did a great job. The new faucet and water line reconfigure was a huge improvement! I’d recommend Chris for any future plumbing jobs needed! Thank you!

UPDATE: STILL HAVE HEARD NOTHING FROM THEM! THEY ARE GHOSTING US WITH OUR MONEY! We contracted with Bassett back in March to install electric on our 4 seasons room rebuild. From the very first conversation we were told about the Watchdog Maintenance Plan and the savings it would offer on our project. Our invoice clearly shows the “potential savings”. We have never received this potential savings or discount. One technician called in to ask about it with me standing next to him and his manager told him, “yes, we need to honor that as invoiced”. I paid the invoice expecting the discount - but have never received it. I have emailed and called, spoken with the technician (who was great by the way) and left message for the service manager. It is now almost Aug and I still do not have any “potential savings” nor discount with the Watchdog Maintenance Plan. update: 08/06/2025 they responded to the review but have not contacted me directly or done anything to make this right.

Apex was out 2 days prior and completed the same service but they never opened the coil inside nor out. The photos below are from when Brandon first opened my unit. My ac is now running better and cutting on and off much less than it did prior to his arrival. Brandon did a great job and was very professional. we signed up for trueNorths service plan because of Brandon’s interactions with me and the plans cost vs benefits.

In a time of need this company was unreliable, unprofessional, and overpriced. They had poor communication from the start. They said a technician was coming between 12-5 and no one ever showed. Every time I called they said the tech was ‘stuck at another site.’ This went on for 2 days. Which could be true, you would think they would try to problem solve another solution after 7 hours of waiting. They let us sit for 1.5 days without power before sending out a technician after I had to complain. I ended up calling another company to save us who quoted us $1,000 cheaper than basset’s quote. Overall, this company was frustrating and disappointing in a time of need.

We contracted Bassett back in April for electrical work that had to be REDONE a month after they completed the work. We were told that if joined their maintenance club we would save $1,276.05. They charged us the full amount without the savings and now they will not honor the contract or even speak with us!! BUYER BEWARE - BBB is our next step!
