What a disapointment. On Friday, June 13 Action came out to service our air conditioner. They replaced some parts, added freon and charged us $3,500. On July 8 our A/C was not working. Called Action, whose earliest appointment was for July 21. Two weeks out despite the fact that it was a return to a job that we had already spent $3,500 fixing. At the end of the call all the person on the other end of the line wanted to know is that I would have payment ready immediately the day of the service. Today is July 11. Went to look at the unit because I can't understand why it's not running. You could turn the service port by hand, and here's a picture of the coils caked with dirt - less than a month after they serviced it. So of course the freon leaked out, because the "technician" didn't tighted the service port. Okay...just a mistake... but coils caked in dirt? Dirty coils put pressure on the system, which can cause leaks. In a service call where the coil has to be replaced because there are leaks in it, they never cleaned the coils.....This picture is the coils less than a month after they "fixed" the system. So I call the number on the service order to talk to someone about the issue and get - an AI assistant. Once I realize what's going on, because the AI assistant is confused, I ask if it's an AI assistant. It tells me it is and asks if I want to talk to a live person. I say yes and it says it will have someone call me back. Meanwhile, I've called a small local place that said they would prioritize our job because we're without A/C at all. They're coming TODAY. And now I have to figure out how to cancel the Action appointment without getting charged. Wish me luck! Response to owner's note below: I did reach out again. I was told they are down technicians and the earliest they could get to me was July 16. And why do I have to make all the effort here? They screwed up. Why aren't they reaching out to me? I've now reached out multiple times, paid $3,500 and the best they can do is say "reach out to us." Been there, done that.

Paid $700 for a job that any other plumber would have charged $250. The job consisted of extending a PVC pipe on a sink drain by 5 inches and attaching the trap. They removed our literal brand new disposal from under the sink and hooked up their own without asking and then they charged for it. It took 3 hours to replace the single 5 inch segment of PVC. After taking so long we just paid them so they would leave and didn’t even complain. They would have just billed even more time. Every single connection leaked when they first tested their work so of course they charge another hour for fixing their own work. Conveniently they finish up right at 4 pm. When I come home one dude is sitting in the truck and immediately goes inside as soon as he sees me. Why am I paying people to sit in their truck? If you’re a lady watch out because they will play like you’re stupid and do stuff like this to swindle your money. I also don’t want them to hear about any pre-existing problems that caused them troubles this time because the old home owners used THEM to install the previous work.

Trey N with Action came to check our water heater with a malfunctioning thermostat. He was friendly and efficient, called the manufacturer to obtain parts under warranty, and he made suggestions to keep overall costs down. It will take a couple extra days due to shipping etc but saving money will certainly keep me on their repeat customer list.

In the past action did such a good job with my tune ups. However my recent interactions with them put a damper to my rating. I had scheduled online for an appt window and no one showed up. Called them and they said they had no one assigned. They never bothered to give me a courtesy call about this. I wasted my day. So I rescheduled. The day of my appt, the tech that came was not my regular tech. He was not sure about what he was doing. At the end of it he wanted to charge me 1k to fix a valve to my AC. I said No thank you. Luckily I did. Bc since then I changed my filter and my ac is blowing great. I also had another company stop by and they were able to figure out that it was a wiring issues that was causing my fan to be on 24:7 that was effecting the AC flow.

Thank you to Ethan at Action Plumbing. We are first time homeowners and new to Wisconsin and usually go with companies that are recommended, but we were unable to in this case. So after scouring the reviews we decided to take a chance and we were not disappointed. Quick story: we noticed water under our sink and the wood was started to discolor. We sent a request over the weekend and got a call Monday at 8am. They said to expect someone between 10 and 2. Next thing I know Ethan calls me and says he’ll be here within 20 minutes. He arrived and got straight to work. He was able to resolve the issue within 30 minutes. Ethan was very friendly and personable. I was worried that being a female and not knowing anything about plumbing I was going to get ripped off but that was far from the case. I’m glad we went with Action Plumbing and will use them for all our future needs.
