After The Other company canceled my 2 day in advance service call, I reached out to Roto-Rooter who was able to service within 3 hrs of my call. I had a clog drain about 15 feet from kitchen/laundry area. The serviceman was able to clear it and we tested with running a laundry load and the sink full on. Problem solved. 6 month clog guarantee. Along with the service came the camera inspection (no additional cost) and I was able to view the pipes, composition and their location. Very helpful. It was expensive but I at least I got my moneys worth and peace of mind. Both servicemen were experienced, kept me up to date on expected arrival. Good job.
Emergency services was prompt. Tech arrived within an hour and was professional. Checked out our clogged drain issue. Gave me a price which I thought was fair if they could clear the drain of $480. He ran his machine at the trap toward the road then attempted from the trap to the house. He was able to clear from the trap to the road but not from trap to the house. He had his supervisor come with a camera to look toward the house. Turns out they found a pipe that was disconnected from the main and trap. My only issue was having to pay almost the entire bill because they cleared partially but only took $50 off the bill. So still paying $426 for a job they couldn’t completely do.
Matt was quick to reach out about an appointment and worked around my schedule, which was greatly appreciated! He explained what he was going to be doing, what he found and the options I had to fix the problem. Even explained about my financing options.
I had a scheduled sewer drain cleaning but noticed some water around the sewer pipe in the basement. I called and they were able to get a technician out within the hour. Chris was informative, prompt and an excellent human! He explained the type of sewer drain I had, how it is supposed to work, how the clogging can happen and what he was doing while working. I feel I now understand how to recognize a potential issue. 5 star service!
let's say the problem was solved quickly. but it isn't so simple. water wasn't leaving the house on sunday. i assumed from experience that my main line was clogged. i called for an appointment but we never used the word 'camera'. the first person to arrive asked me to confirm i requested a camera view of my main line. i said no but he checked it with his camera anyway. what did he see, i wonder. because although they snaked the main line, that didn't solve the problem. only then did one of the fellas enter the house and go into the basement. he determined a shutoff valve in my basement was closed. it must have happened sunday but nobody else had access, and i know to not close those valves. if that was why water wouldn't leave the house, then i'm thinking the main line was clear. and if the main line was clear, why didn't they tell me it was clear, and not snake it? why did they snake it? it does get me wondering if i should have been billed for what i was billed. of course nothing you tell me will explain the mystery of the true cause of the problem - that valve in my basement which was closed before your guys arrived.
