Roto-Rooter

Jimmy was SO helpful, and so professional. He called me a few times throughout the day to keep me updated on his schedule. When he got here, he was kind and polite. He answered ALL of the questions that I had (and I had a lot). Great, great experience!

The first employee was able to explain why the sewer line was clogged (mud from a broken line). He suggested they send a second man to use a camera and get more information. The gentleman who ran the camera called to say he couldn't see anything except water and was unable to provide any additional information. However, he spoke to the tenant and told her the issue could only be fixed by tearing out the kitchen floor. Not at all satisfied with the service, zero actual results, and a bill in excess of $500.

I always call Roto-Rooter whenever I have a problem here at the kennel. They always make time for me! I have never had a bad experience and they are so reasonably priced. Caleb was my last service tech and was terrific. I don't usually write reviews but they have gotten me out of many jams! Highly recommend them!

I've always good luck with these guys in the past with simple clogs. I saw that there had been a lot of negative reviews recently but decided to call them again anyway. Had a simple bathroom sink hair plug that I was struggling to get my snake to. Decided to call in the "professionals" after spending about an hour on it and worried I could be do damage to old pipes. Service tech showed up at 8:55 AM (to their credit very prompt), spent a total of maybe 10 minutes actually snaking the drain before declaring at 9:25 he had worked for an hour and was going to call in a camera. Said the camera would come Friday during a 4 hour window. Charged me for the full hour despite only been here 30 minutes. I brough up that it hadn't been an hour and had proof based on when they called but he said his timer showed an hour so that was that (I assume company policy). I showed him when he called and that he was wrong. Still got charged for the full hour. I knew I had gotten further down the drain than he did with my $20 menards drill auger so I decided to try again. Worked it really slow and got through after spending another 10 minutes and pulled out the clog. $130 for nothing and something an amateur like me could do themselves. I don't know if I'm most upset with the laziness of only trying for 30 minutes and claiming it was an hour, the inability to get it done with professional tools or getting charged for nothing. Either way that's the last time I'll ever call Roto-Rooter in Cedar Rapids and I'll stick with either myself or someone like Ken-way.

Rudy and sidekick (sorry I can't remember his name) with Roto Rooter fixed IT. In over 20 years of being a homeowner and with my 1st house lost in the flood of 2008... I was today years old the first time I had a pro on a drain or plumbing problem, on suggestion from my usual DIYs. Rudy fixed me up quickly and as cost efficiently as possible while making sure the issue was resolved. He also provided advice to avoid future issues. I believe that what I paid was very reasonable for really great service and resolution. I appreciate it very much! Thank you!!
