Martel was recommended to me by a co-worker. I needed to have a water heater replaced. My preferred contact method is email so I emailed a few companies for some quotes. Zack from Martel responded within a few hours with an estimate for the job. The other companies either never responded OR it took days. I decided to use Martel. Zack was very accommodating when I wanted to change the tank model since I was looking for an energy star model. The installation went well and the 2 person team was effective and professional. A few weeks later, I wanted to have a Memo Meter installed and again I used Martel. Zack provided an estimate and after the meter was installed, the bill came in actually lower than the estimate. I was very happy about that and really appreciate that Zack tried and was able to help save me some money. I would highly recommend Martel P&H to anyone who needs their service. I am looking to use them again in the future when we plan on doing a bathroom remodel. Enclosed are few pictures of the water heater installation. Because the building code changed, they had to install an expansion tank and replace the pvc vent pipe. Also the replacement water header was taller so they had to re-do the copper pipes. I think that the finished job looks very good.

Martel continues to impress. I used them for a project that had to cut into my main stack of the house a few years back and they did a great job, at a good price. Recently, I called asking about converting to propane, and they talked to me about options, asked lots of questions, and answered even more of mine. They were honest, straightforward and helpful. I will continue to go to Martel for my needs, and you should too!

June, 2025 update: Martel Plumbing & Heating just completed installing a brand new HVAC system for us - new furnace and AC unit. This is a BIG job, and once again, they came through with flying colors. The folks at Martel helped me get the system that I wanted. When it came time for the install, I was impressed with how hard their team worked. Things were explained throughout the process; I never felt in the dark. We were very pleased with our overall experience with Martel and highly recommend them for both big and small jobs - you're going to get a great experience! Original review below.... We have used Martel twice since we bought our house and we could not be happier. Our latest service was to have our water tank replaced. From start to end of this project Zack at Martel's was great. Zack explained things thoroughly before and after the installation, taking time to address any questions we had. Further, Zack gets points for explaining things in a way that is easy to understand. He genuinely cared that we were happy. Finally, we found Martel's pricing to be competitive, too. Really solid people at Martel's - we will continue to use them for all of plumbing and HVAC needs!

Great job and price by Martel to replace my boiler expansion tank! Ed was very quick to respond throughout. When I started reaching out to plumbers in the area via email, he called me right back via phone. I was able to send him a picture of it and he provided a high estimate quote from what he could see. He also had technicians ready to go and could get me in for an appointment next day. It was a slow leak and I wanted to shop around a bit first. What I didn't realize at the start was that Martel was going to be the best. PJ Labrie & Sons couldn't get me in for a few weeks and they quoted about 50% more than Martel. Heritage sent out a technician for a free estimate but it turned into a whopping 100% more than the initial estimate from Martel. I went back to Ed after doing my evaluation and happily agreed to the quote and we marked it in for the next business day after a weekend. Due to family challenges over the weekend, I could not commit to the date we agreed to. I touched based with Ed and he understood the need for the short notice postponement. We rescheduled for the following week. Mike arrived 10 minutes before the scheduled start time and was very efficient throughout. He must have noted everything that was needed from the picture I sent earlier because he had it all with him for the job. Mike had everything taken care of much faster than the other companies quoted. The full job took about 90 minutes which involved the replacement of the air scoop, tank and some new copper pipe and fittings. Again, this was just for my situation and I can't speak to how the timing may go for a similar job for you. You can see my before and after pictures to get an idea of what my job looked like. I received the invoice 4 days later and to my surprise it came in at about half the price initially estimated. Ed said he would pass on any savings to me if the job were easier and he certainly did. As a new resident, I'm happy to have found my go-to plumbing and heating service company :)

Called Ed one week; Todd & Chris were out the next week to install sink/faucet and replace 40+ yr old cast iron pipe that was totally clogged. Lifesavers. Fast and efficient, right on time. Highly recommend.
