Forrest Anderson Plumbing & Air Conditioning

Highly recommend this local -family operated company! We reached out to Forrest Anderson when the weather started getting hot and our A/C units couldn't seem to keep up. Their technician was super friendly, fair and explained all our options - including showing us photos of the problem! Our units were nearly 20 years old so we elected to buy new ones before tariffs kicked in. The team at Forrest Anderson did an excellent job of helping us find the right fit for our budget. They showed up on time, were very professional, and we never felt pressured. The technician even spent a long time explaining the difference options for a metal filter vs paper ones, and included new thermostats already set for the perfect temperature. We spent less than what we budgeted for, so we sprung for the extra UV light and have already seen a huge difference in the amount of dust in the air. Cooking odors seem to go away much faster too! I liked them so much - I would send my mom to them!

We reached out to Forrest Anderson by the recommendation of a neighbor of ours. We needed our AC unit to be replaced. The gentlemen that assisted us from the initial contact and completion of work was phenomenal. They answered all our questions and had remarkable workmanship, showed up before our scheduled time and completed the job without any hiccups. They are thorough and professional yet friendly and knowledgeable as well. I will highly recommend them to anyone that is needing HVAC services within my family and friend circle. I initially called Forrest Anderson to repair a main line water leak. The leak was located by another leak locating contractor and Forrest Anderson was recommended by that contractor. I was told at the time I scheduled the repair that their labor rate is 85.00 per hour plus materials. The plumbing technician was prompt and on time. I discussed the nature of the repair with the technician and also asked if he would be able to replace the 1” shut-off valve at the water inlet to the house (the valve no longer shut-off completely) We both agreed that now would be the time to replace the ball valve as the water box would have to be turned off anyway to repair the main line water leak. I was still under the assumption that the labor rate was 85.00 per hour plus material as no one told me otherwise. I had left the technician to complete the job and headed back to work. I received a call from the technician approximately 2 hrs and 45 minutes after the technician arrived at the house and he said that he was just about finished and I would receive an invoice via email. I was surprised when I opened the invoice and the total was 685.40. I knew the tech was on-site for approximately 3 hours. The invoice did not have any breakdown of travel, labor, materials or sales tax. When I arrived at home that evening I was very disappointed with the quality of the ball valve replacement. The technician used propress fittings vs solder fittings. In order to fit the propress tool into the area - the technician had to pull the copper pipes in a manner so they no longer looked plumb with the house. I took pictures of the repair and emailed them to Forrest Anderson and also requested a breakdown of the invoice (travel, labor and materials). I received a call two days later from the service manager. The service manager spent a good portion of the time on the call trying to justify the quality of the work - which I would not accept. After asking again for a more detailed invoice he finally told me that the ball valve replacement is not a time and material type job - they charge a book rate of $377.00 for ball valve replacements. I would have probably not complained about the $377.00 if it was a quality repair with fittings and valve sweat into place and if the pipes were still straight and plumb like they were prior to Forrest Anderson cutting into plumbing and installing their valve. The service manager told me he would call me back and let me know how we could resolve this after he talked with his boss. This was three weeks ago and I have not heard back. I will be cutting out Forrest Anderson’s repair and replacing the valve and fittings that they installed.

When you’ve got your work truck #730 blasting through rush hour traffic at 830 on the south 202, makes for really poor business representation. 34A 7LM was the license and your driver / worker cut off 3 lanes of traffic almost causing an accident and inches away from clipping my front passenger side while I have my children in the car. Your business reputations begin and end with your workers; both in driving to their next stop and the job done itself. You need to train your employees on safer driving practices on the job.

Alex was friendly and listened to my concerns. He tried to resolve my issues. I felt very positive about my AC check up!
