Tappendorf Plumbing

I had a plumbing emergency and of the dozen places I called, Tappendorf was the only one that would come out that say. Every single other place had a 4 day wait. Great customer service & Zack was the sweetest serviceman.

Bob and his crew are absolutely amazing. I spoke with Bob on a Thursday after being without plumbing for 4 days. I spoke to a few companies prior and had an appointment set for the following Tuesday just to take a look because that was the earliest I thought I could have anyone there. When Bob reached out he said “no, we can be there Friday with the camera to get a look at what we’re dealing with and be back on Monday to start work. This is an emergency”. By Friday mid day he had someone here setting barrels in the front yard to block off the street for when they start work. Bob and Zack were both friendly, caring and very clear on what they were doing throughout the whole process. I will be honest, before this happened, I had never heard of Tappendorf Plumbing but they have a customer for life. Thank you for being so caring, helpful and all around amazing!

Installed a new sump pump. The tech broke the plexiglass that covered the pit so he had to leave to get another one and a new pump. You'd think the new pump would've been on his truck. He also purchased items that the install didn't require. I should've watched him pull out the old pump. He said it was leaking oil which caused it to fail, yet there was no oil pumped out of the pit until he put the new one in. There was no sign of oil or oil smell outside until he put the new one in. I'm not sure why the back-up pump never pumped out the oil beforehand since it was the only reason my basement didn't get water. They ended up charging me $800+ for a job that should've only taken less than 2 hours to take out the old and drop in the new. The tech installed the new plexiglass which I inspected after he left and realized it was cracked and had holes which he tried to cover with some kind of silicone which just went right through the hole. I contacted the owner and informed him of it and also asked him for an itemized receipt as the tech told me there would be one sent to me. The owner responded to my first email telling me the tech could come on a Monday morning but that didn't work for me so I asked for a different day. I've yet to hear from him and have sent him 3 emails. It's very hard to believe this father/son duo has been in business for many years. Maybe they can come pick up the cigarette butts the tech threw out on my driveway as well!!!

I am re writing my review here because I accused this business of a repair man that at the time I thought I was missing items in my basement….today is august 7th 2021, I went down in my basement and was putting away water softener salt bags, low and behold I found everything I believed was missing in my basement, everything was behind my furnace, so now I have to re write my review here cause I falsely accused tappendorf pluming here….. their plumber did not take any possessions from my house, he was a total gentleman from the start I met him at my house and yes he was here to install a water softener, and looked through the basement and seen a mess of water lines that needed to be removed to make the hot water flow quicker throughout the house, I was in total agreement here and proceeded to let him rework the pipes, yes he did a professional job here, also had a new water spigot installed too…. Since I falsely accused them of this? It’s my duty to re write this review here and call them to apologize to the owner of my actions here….. this is a trusted company and has been around for years, very reasonable at the price of the work performance

Not to happen with the price of an install for shower faucet handle. Called at 10AM and I was told the tech would be here a little after lunch. I called again at 2 and was told he got a little busy but would be round 4:30. Tech showed up at 5:10 and completed at 6:15. Billed 585.00, when I asked for an explanation I was told because it was over time. The tech was in class all morning for an apprenticeship. So of course he couldn’t be here at 2. And then to stick it to the customer as OVERTIME when the tech told me he doesn’t start til 2ish? Very very shady. Than I asked what’s the labor rate? Still never got an answer from BOB (the owner). Not a pleasant experience and will never recommend using TAPPENDORF for any services.
