My A.C. went out on Sunday afternoon, called 8am on Monday and they had someone out before 10am to get it fixed. Devin was extremely professional and honest with the repairs and pricing. I, like most homeowners, do not get service done on my A.C. nearly as much as we should and as a result it blew. Devin had it diagnosed and repaired within 2 hours. Decided to purchase their yearly service plan as a result. Will continue to use their services in the future.
No longer an HVAC problem solver. They are leaving a 95 year old great grandmother without AC and dithering on a repair timeline in June 2025 St. Petersburg heat. My mother-in-law is a prepaid service customer. She called for next day service when her newer air-conditioning unit unexpectedly stopped working. The company sent a diagnostic technician. He first believed it was a bad circuit breaker, then found a blown 3 amp fuse on the control board that he thought was due to a bad transformer. She was charged over $300 to change the transformer. That did not solve the issue and he then believed the problem was a short in the control board. He left to obtain a new board, returned and replaced it at over $700 only to find that was not the problem either. His present hypothesis is a short in the 5-wire. He was a thoughtful and experienced technician and spent more than 5 hours on attempting to diagnose the issue but said he was not able to change out the low voltage 5-wire himself and it was too late in the day by that time to call in the proper team. He advised my mother-in-law to call the main office. She was initially given an appointment for June 18, five days from the time of this writing. My mother-in-law does not hear well, but she has all her faculties and she is capable of advocating for herself which she is doing, but the responsiveness and internal communication of this company is atrocious. Individual technicians may be kind, capable and fair, but the overall experience when issues are complicated is completely unacceptable. Shame on Performance management and ownwership. They clearly no longer exhibit care for their customers- even 94 yr olds with service contracts.
I would like to thank Josh with performance air who came to my house today and took another look at my AC unit. He found things that the maintenance tech had missed on his visit here on January 22nd. Anyway have a tech do your maintenance they are more thorough then maintenance guys. And no slight intended but you could have cost me a lot of money. Thank you for performance AC for sticking to your word and backing up my unit and getting me fixed I truly appreciate it

We have been Performance customers for many years and members of their annual maintenance program. They used to be great. However, something has happened in the past year or so and they cannot hold an appointment. Multiple times I have received cancellation calls right before the appointment time only to be able to reschedule 2-3 weeks later. Their regular service appointments are just as bad, not being able to schedule an emergency appointment within 3-4 days. Like I said their service used to be great. Their people are good. But, due to not being to hold an appointment, I would not recommend them to anyone. Don’t waste your time calling them, and please do not enroll in their annual program.
