If the option to give double zero stars that is what I would give. This company is horrible I had a claim through my homeowner insurance they charged me an out of project fee of $250 for a snake to pull up my toilet based on their wack expertise vs cleaning out my clean out that was covered under my warranty. They ran a snake through the toilet less than 3 days my toilet was backed up again. I called them out and they refused to honor the warranty that I was told I had by their technician of 60 days and left my property and refused to clean out the stoppage and refused to give me my $250 back. I will be contacting an attorney to sue them. I will also let everyone know not use their services. They are horrible and unprofessional people and don’t deserve to be in business. I call Altstadt that I have a water leak from the house to the meter in the yard can someone come out and give me an estimate to fix. Two guys from Altstadt show up same day and look at meter and ask me here you have a leak. I tell them yes we believe it is near house because water is coming into the basement. They take a probe and stick in ground near house and say pretty wet looks like you do have leak. They start to leave and I ask will you e-mail me estimate? They reply they only look for leaks do not do estimating. Which I find strange. Well couple days later in do get estimate from Altstadt. They are not low bidder so I go with Bayer's Plumbing low bid. This week I get invoice from Altstadt for $70 for a service call. "I reply that this must be mistake I asked for a estimate. Surly you do not charge to give estimates?" I get this reply:This wasn’t called in as an estimate, this was a service call to locate the leak on the water service. It was called in on 4/30 around 9:30 AM and set up for the following day. We do not schedule estimates that soon. Our estimators do not locate leaks or do any investigative work, they simply provide an estimate to do a job. However, all that aside, because we were only on site for 25 minutes, and because we found the service was better off being replaced instead of repaired, we cut the invoice in half – if paid on time. I can make it an even $50 this time, but please know in the future we do charge to send a tech out every single time. Otherwise, if you are wanting an estimate only, it needs to be called in that way. Most of us who answer the phones don’t schedule estimates, but we get your information for someone to call and set it up. But we can’t give estimates on things that have unknowns, we have to send service techs out to investigate. Please let me know if the $50 is agreeable and I’ll create a credit and resend. We had to replace the main water line going into our building. They came immediately to give a review and quote, quickly got us on the schedule, and came quickly to get the replacement done. The price was not nearly what we feared and when the work was done, there were no last minute surprises. Thank you to Paul and Darien for doing such an amazing job and being cognizant of the needs to get water back to the building as quickly and safely as possible. They were friendly, easy to work with, and worked safely and efficiently. Cutting up sidewalk and digging down to those pipes was not an easy job, but they did it like the champs they are. Attached are photos of the pipe in question that was ready to burst at any time and the initial hole...they had to dig out even more after that. The area was blocked to keep people from walking near the hole and the hole was quickly filled in a few days later and looks great (sorry, no picture). Thank you so much to Altstadt Hoffman Plumbing. Disgusting service if you can even call it that. They sent out a Diagnostician that diagnosed it wrong! Charged $110 for labor, which was seven minutes of BS Of why it wasn’t what he said it was and he was gone. He also charged another $30 just for him showing up to not do anything so $140 total to a disabled handicap woman that didn’t know what was going on. Shame on you you’re disgusting plumbing company. Deserve anyone in Evansville‘s business I’d rather dig a train than deal with you people ever again

Called them out to see what needed to be done with outlet of a sump pump. We were putting a concrete patio over where the outlet was and wanted to make sure if we had issues there was a different way to replumb it. They did nothing and charged us $140. Which should have been just an estimate. Prior to this we had them out after putting a $500 deposit down for them to just come out. They sent a water heater specialist that took 3 attempts to fix a toilet that needed shimmed. Dishonest company. I wouldn’t mess with them going forward. Everyone beware.
