A.J. Perri

Our air conditioning stopped working in the middle of the holiday weekend Saturday July 5th. A.J. Perri not only picked up the phone on a Saturday night, but they scheduled a service call for 1st thing Sunday morning. The technician George reviewed the whole system and issues and told us we could try replacing the capacitor and blower, but our system was almost 20 years old so we had their estimator Nick Cucurello come out an hour later. Nick was very thorough quoting us a couple of options. He helped us save money with some manufacturer and holiday promotions so we bought a whole new Carrier HVAC system that they installed the next day. They also gave us a brand new window unit to use while we waited for the new system to be installed and commissioned. Mike and Ahmed were the installers who came out. They were very neat putting drop cloths down on our floors, and they efficiently demo'd our old system taking it with them then installing the new system and training us in using the Honeywell controller. I didn't expect we'd find any contractor that could pull this off on a holiday weekend let alone deliver above and beyond with a 10 year warranty covering all parts and labor. We're happy new customers of A.J. Perri, and would recommend them to our closest family and friends!

Salesman conducted a complete walk through of my home inside and out and suggested we purchase a 4 ton Rudd compressor. Our air handler was behind a wall in our master bedroom and obstructed by a glass block stair railing. I told him the railing was very exspensive and asked if there was any other way to remove the unit? He said the unit came in one piece and that there was no alternative. He took pictures and asked that we hold off on demo until he gets clearance from his office. A day or two later he called and confirmed with us that 20ft. of wall had to be removed as well as the glass block in order to do the install, so we paid a contractor to open the wall and demolish the glass block we also cut out a section on our wooden railing at the bottom of the stairs because he said the unit wouldnt make the turn at the bottom of the landing. We trusted his expertise, he had crawled behind the wall to visually inspect and measure the unit he said it was one solid unit and couldnt be dismantled or broken into pieces. On the day of the install the technicians wanted to know why we removed so much wall and demolished our glass railings? He removed the unit in two pieces and made the turn at the bottom of the landing easily. We are Livid. But thats not the end of it! The salesman after inspecting our entire system recommenced a Rudd 4 ton compressor, he said it would cool the entire house. However the Technicians informed us that they installed a 3 ton, and that there was another air handler behind the opposite wall !! Two compressors...Two air handlers. I immediatley got the salsman on the phone, i asked is it possible to have two compressors and one air handler? his answer was "yes". Hmmm so i confrenced the two of them on a call, the technician took him to school on how to properly assess cental air installations;, tonnage, duct circumference and sq footage etc. The Tech couldnt understand how he didnt know there was another unit and how he came to the determination that one compressor could efficiently cool our entire house. The salesman apologized profusely, said he would make everything right just give him some time, a day or two late we got a text from him saying he was fired and can no longer help us we would have to deal with the office. We reached out to a manager who had another salesman come to our home and perform another assessment, he took pictures of the unecessary demolition assured us the company would fix the situation and possibly give us a discount on the second compressor and air handler we didnt know we had in the first place! an extra $14,000.. we waited patiently for a fair resolution, we understood the wall had to be opened, so we had no expectations of them covering that cost however, we felt there should be some sort of compensation or discount to offset the cost of replacing our glass block railing and refinishing the floors where the glass block sat. A.J. Perri offered us a slight discount on the second compressor and air handler that we chose to decline, so they asked that we submit estimates for the glass block railing and the refinishing of the floors. In the meantime our walls are open, tempretures in the house are 90 degrees plus and we are taking vacation days off to get estimates. A.J. Perri then instructed us to get six estimates three for the railing and three for floors, we are almost a month in now and getting stringed along. We got the estimates, forwarded them and got an email which essentially read... At this time A.J. Perri is unable to remburse us, the actions were discussed prior to install, the modifications were required to ensure a safe work enviornment. Then we were told if we want they can come remove the unit at no cost!!!!

1098 William V Young Drive Rahway NJ a cul de sac private road not a Main Street! First I called a hr ago and was told they would reach out to dispatch to tell the truck to clean up and they didn’t. I come out and driving over garbage. I call a second time and I’m told I’m not the owner so bye. I live here it should not matter. They left debris, parts of the old hvac in the street. We live on a cul de sac and there’s rocks all sorts of junk they didn’t clean up. I called cust service and they were rude and unhelpful. We are on a beautiful cul de sac, expensive, ridiculous taxes and this is how they left the only entry and exit point to get in and out of the nook. Driving over rubble, and parts left from the work they did. The mayor and councilman are here as well so I’ll make sure multiple reviews are left and complaints. We all normally use the same companies. I would not dare use this company if this is how they leave things when done. Do not use them. We are upgrading our hvac. Huge home here. Double units I know who not to use!

I had a fantastic experience with the plumber! He was incredibly professional and knew exactly what was causing the backup in no time. His expertise and efficiency made all the difference. I will definitely be using their services again in the future. Highly recommend!

We had leaky corroded copper pipes in our basement and a plumber name Aziezy D. from A.J. Perri came out to fix them. He did and excellent job. He was very friendly and professional and cleanedup the debris and water that dropped on the floor. I highly recommend him for the excellent plumbing work he did for us.
