Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Water Cleanup

Just had a major sewage back up in my basement and needed help asap. For some reason I went to Roto Rooter. The name just popped into my head. I called them and from the start they were extremely friendly and helpful. They came out the next day and checked things out. Unfortunately is it was a much worse situation than I thought. They were up front with the pricing and told me what needed to be done in great detail. I needed to get my basement pumped out in order for them to get to my basement drain as i had about a foot of raw sewage in parts of tge basement. Once that was done the got to work to repair my pipes after excavating the area and filling it in with concrete afterwards. Then when all was repaired, the water restoration came in and work closely with me cleaning my disgusting basement. Alot had to be thrown away obviousy. Brian A and Brian R were heading up that daunting task.. After cleaning up and taking away all the damaged belongings away, they cleaned, sterilized and put drying machines in my basement. One of the Brians even took a sentimental photo out of the damaged frame and save the photo and he told me it looked very important to me. That meant the world. From Mark V, Kevin D, the plumbers in between and the 2 Brians. Thank you all and your company so much!

We have experienced exceptional workmanship from Carlo Lopez who has displayed phenomenal expertise in all areas. He is very dedicated and is an efficient worker that strives to perform in every way possible to provide ‘total’ customer satisfaction. We’ve also found Carlo to be a very ambitious worker that can operate at an expertise level and is able to correct any issues that arise. Note: Carlo deserves a 10 Star rating! In conclusion: We are extremely satisfied and very happy with Carlo’s overall work ethics in every way. Where his workmanship and expertise level were found to be phenomenal.

The service technician was very polite and worked efficiently. My issue is that they came 3 hours after my time slot and their prices are astronomical! Be aware before calling…it costs $657 for them to clear your sink drain!! You can buy a snake and do it yourself for under $300!! I felt pigeoned hole at the late hour and regret my decision spending so much money on such a service! **Update…since posting this review, Roto Rooter has graciously refunded me half the cost. It still cost $300 to have my drain snake, so you will have to decide what is best for you. They were great with communication and very professional.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. We scheduled a quote for a leak and another issue. No one mentioned the $150 “visit fee” until after the visit, but fine. They came, made a quick adjustment in under five minutes, claimed both issues were fixed, and left—without testing anything. They didn’t even run the water to check the leak, which turned out to be worse the next day. When I called, customer service said things like “that was a really good price” and “we charge every time we come out,” then refused a refund or follow-up since “they didn’t fix anything.” The office manager was also incredibly rude. For $150, we got nothing—no repairs, no quote, and certainly no “good price.”

The original repairman did an excellent job, came out in rapid time to fix our problem. I had a problem with the Camera guy who was 45 minutes late for the appointment, he was rude to my spouse and he parked his vehicle in my driveway without our permission. He was trying to blame us about the City's trees on our property saying that the roots are attacking our pipes without him ever putting the camera in the sewer pipe, he was only going on a diagnosis that was done 8 years ago. This me very unhappy with the service with Roto Rooter, in the past I have had all praises for their company but now I am not sure if they hire people who would be rude to my spouse. I would give a Rating of 5 to the repairman and a negative 5 to the camera guy.
