VERY UNPROFESSIONAL SERVICE! Go elsewhere unless you want to deal with childish drama & overpriced service. Even the responses to negative reviews are rude while other businesses are apologetic. This business will continue to blame the customer & argue over the internet. 1. They are overpriced, a service call elsewhere is 1/4 the cost. 2. They don’t get you scheduled in a timely manner & you’re looking at a week or more out for a simple service call. 3. They’re rude, gossipy, immature, and have a lying problem.
Unpleasant interaction over the phone with service rep. H A Thompson must be really busy today. No time to listen. Made me feel like a deadbeat saying I better pay my bill after I expressed concern over the quality of the work. As if, after other major expenditures I've made in the past with them, there has ever been a problem with receiving payments. Argumentative, impatient, making up excuses for the problems caused at my home by H A Thompson. Refusing to send a different person to assess the work that was done. This is no way to treat a loyal customer and person in a position to refer new clients. I am very disappointed.
Well well after reading these reviews I realise I was not the only one affected with their high bill. I call about my heater because the heat was not reaching the 3rd floor. I thought it was the thermostat so i purchase a new one. When the gentleman came he told me the valve to the upper floor was stuck and some other valve not working so he will have to go and get it. I didn't take note of the time that he spent on the road but I would estimate about 30min. He spent probably another 25-20 min to get things working. I almost pee on myself when I saw the bill so I called the company enquiring about the bill. The gentleman who i spoke with told me they charge for the miles and time it took for them to pick up the parts. I was astonished; however he say he would send a note to the bill department for them to look into it. A few hours later a lady call me with all the attitude in the world. She repeated the same thing to me and letting me know, that's how they do things and I will have to pay it. I told her I won't use their service anymore, her response was, "THATS UP TO YOU." Now this level of customer service make me cringe so I just hang up. So they deliberately leave the parts they need to work with then charge you to go and get it. Am I to assume that if they pick up a puncture or stop to get fuel I am going to be charged for all those times? This is so unfair to the customers!!
Think twice! Before hiring this company, I called them to inquire about their pricing. All I was told was the plumber hourly rate, which seemed reasonable, so I booked their services. I don't have anything negative to say about the plumbers work aside from his refusal to tell me how much it was going to cost. That was a red flag to me. My experience changed when the bill arrived in the mail several days later. I was charged for more time than the plumber spent at my house, a gas mileage fee, and ridiculously high prices on the parts that the plumber needed for the repairs. The plumber needed to leave at some point to get specific parts from a store and when he returned, I asked him how much were the parts and he had no answer. After receiving the very high bill in the mail, I immediately called them to inquire why it was so high because I took photos of the parts required and had them priced and it was significantly lower. The person on the phone was Dan, the plumbing supervisor, who was incredibly rude to me on the phone. He explained that the customer does not pay the price that the parts cost from the store, the customer pays their company's up charged new price on the parts. So, be aware that not only do you get charged gas mileage for in town services (which is ridiculous) you also pay a huge markup on the parts that they buy for much cheaper probably at Menards where they can also claim the healthy rebate. I can see that I am not the only customer who has been angered by their high billing prices and surprising extra fees that they do NOT disclose upfront. Save yourself the trouble and the money and DO NOT hire from this company. Though the plumbers who actually do the work for them may be just fine, they are dishonest and not trustworthy about their billing and customer service is extremely poor. I would rate at zero stars if I could.
