Ackerman Plumbing

I have used Ackerman Plumbing for service calls before, and once again I had a very positive experience with this current one. Matt, who my technician, was prompt, thorough in explaining what needed to be done and answering my questions, and very knowledgeable. He left his work area clean and tidy which I appreciated. Everything he fixed is working great, so I am very happy.

EDIT: After posting, Ackerman was able to send out a team to my house the same-day, who replaced my heater under the original warranty and installed a drip-pan. Once on site, the service was prompt and courteous. Rating 1 -> 3 ORIGINAL: Ackerman installed my water heater in a new house I bought less than 2 years ago and it's already failing - rusting and leaking out of the bottom, nearly flooding my basement. On top of that, I called the day I noticed the leak (Saturday) and the on-call emergency person told me I was out of luck since I wasn't a "total care club" member - something I was never offered or knew of. What happened to just servicing the equipment you installed in a timely manner? I called again Monday morning and the earliest they can get somebody out to my place is Wednesday morning!? Again, the lady on the phone mentioned I was not a "total care club" member so there wasn't much she could do. Directly from Ackermans website: "If you find yourself in a plumbing emergency, we can come out to your home on the same day you called and address the problem." Well, in my case, I'll be lucky if I get someone out within a week of my water heater breaking. If you're looking for quality parts and quick and reliable service, I'd recommend looking elsewhere!

The peace of mind that comes with this membership is invaluable, and I know I have saved significantly more than the cost of the program. I have developed a strong trust in the Ackerman team and appreciate their commitment to customer satisfaction. The annual inspections provide me with the opportunity to assess my plumbing options and make informed decisions about repairs or improvements. Regular preventive maintenance has saved me thousands of dollars in potential repairs. Matt was our lead technician and he did an outstanding job for us. Within five minutes of inspection, he diagnosed that we needed a new unit & much to my surprise, he returned with the unit and had it installed in less than an hour and a half. “Satisfied” is an understatement!! We recently purchased a home with insanely small toilets. Ackerman was able to get us in within a week and supplied very nice toilets, worth the $$ in my opinion. An earlier appointment ran long, and someone called halfway through my estimated appointment time to let me know that they were running behind. Hugh was very professional and knowledgeable. I will be using Ackerman for any future plumbing needs, and hopefully we get Hugh again!!
